Tara Fadenrecht's recent work continues to address the viewer with issues of control and confinement with further examination of the space between protection and the protected. This space between, when one entity is about to render the other neutral or obsolete, holds the power to transpose a metaphorical harmless carpet into a winding sheet. It is also in this space where security, originally perceived as benevolent, wreaks the most harm when proven false.  With the previous sense of security now in a state of decay, innocence has been lost and distorted adaptation begins.  Not only is this process transpiring on the individual level, but societal as well. This new adaptation, with rationality cast aside or ignored all together, is referenced in Tara's current work. Faulty formulations for coping are figuratively and literally knitted together.
